Sunnyside Island
Sunnyside Island was used for many leisure activities. During the early 1900's Sunnyside was a place to have a picnic and recreation activities. There was a merry-go-round and a few other amusement rides. One event that took place there was ballon rides in the summer of August, 1897. Sports including roller skating, baseball, football, and races were held on occasions. C. H Evans, the steam boat made stops at the island on every trip.
Fort Orange Paper company also had their Decreation Day at Sunnyside Island. Some events they did were sack racing and running races.
