Bowling
The Bowling Alley was on 50 North Main Street in Castleton. If you were a pin setter you would get paid thirty five cents per game. The bowling alley closed in the mid to late 50's. Charles Campbell bought the building and sold it to the Masons order in 1922. The Masons Order then added bowling lanes for the Fort Orange Paper Company's Bowling League. There were four lanes in the bowling alley. The last family to own the bowling alley before it was closed was the Cooper Family. The type of bowling was regular bowling as we know it today.
These are the old scores from the bowling alley in 1923.
